In the Nebrodi Park, traces of human presence from the past 5,000 years can be found. Starting from the Argimusco plateau with its megaliths, to the small Tholos in the territory between Floresta, Raccuja, and San Piero Patti, and ending in the many villages with Arabic, Carolingian, and Byzantine influences visible in the buildings and reflected in local dialects.

The Argimusco plateau generates mystery and disbelief. The vast spaces and enormous megaliths of the Argimusco plateau are unknown to most who come to visit us. When you find yourself in front of the Eagle Megalith or the intense figure of the Orant, you may also feel that this place is as human as it is divine. The huge megaliths are aligned perfectly so that the sunlight passes directly between them at sunrise and sunset on the days of the spring and autumn equinoxes.

The location is easily accessible by car. You will travel on paved roads until just a few meters from the entrance to the property, which is fenced to control livestock. The path from the road to the megaliths is only a few hundred meters long and is easy even for children and people not used to uphill paths. From the port of Capo d’Orlando, the Aeolian Islands are reachable in about an hour by boat. You can use scheduled departures by motorboat from the port of Capo d’Orlando or travel to Milazzo and take a hydrofoil.

The islands offer landscapes of incomparable beauty, with their volcanoes, stunning cliffs, and beaches. You can take a boat tour, hike to the crater of Vulcano, swim in the bay of the black beaches, or visit the historic center of Lipari, where within a few meters you’ll find remnants of 3,000 years of history.

You can also opt for a night excursion departing from the port of Capo d’Orlando to admire the eruptions of Stromboli from the sea, beneath the Sciara del Fuoco.

One of the most picturesque places along our coast is the stretch where the Greeks chose to build the theater of their colony, offering a magnificent view of the Aeolian Islands.

Today, this site hosts performances and shows, bringing life to the summer evenings along our shores. Within the archaeological park of the theater, you can also explore the remains of a Roman villa with its baths, and another building, mistakenly referred to as a basilica, which served as an entrance to the agora, the main square.

In addition to the archaeological park, you will find the sanctuary dedicated to the Black Madonna of Tindari, offering views over the nearby Marinello lakes. A visit to Tindari is recommended for everyone, whether adults or children, history enthusiasts, or archaeology lovers.
